reasonably-priced temperature- and humidity-controlled wine storage in central Tokyo

The Devil in the Grape is pleased to introduce another first: reasonably priced temperature- and humidity- controlled wine storage in central Tokyo.

There is no longer any excuse for allowing wine to prematurely oxidise in your typical overheated Tokyo appartment. Nor for that matter any need to waste your money on overpriced wine fridges - especially when like everything else in Japan they mysteriously end up costing double the normal ROW price.

Allow your wines to reach optimum drinking point gracefully at a constant 13 degrees centigrade and 70% humidity. Our annual storage rates are as follows (simply divide by 12 for the monthly equivalent - partial months will be rounded up):

1-99 cases: JPY 4,000 / case
100-199 cases: JPY 3,000 / case
200+ cases: 2,400 / case

Transfers in / out will be charged at cost, which is currently around JPY 1,250 per case based on delivery to / from Tokyo in temperature controlled transportation. Lower rates apply for larger quantities. Please note whilst it is possible to store mixed cases, for logistical reasons it is not possible to remove single bottles. It is however, possible to remove single bottles from 1 or more unmixed cases to create mixed cases. Does that makes sense? Do not hesitate to ask us if not.

Wine strokers beware: if you need access to caress and coo over your wines this service is not for you as it is a boring warehouse facility with no access. For you we recommend instead Terada's JPY 20,000 per month 280 bottle wine locker service where you can come to coo to your heart's content. But at over JPY 10,000 per case per year equivalent, the right to fondle has never been so expensive.
