The devil in the grape - doing things differently with wine in Japan
Over 150,000 restaurants in Tokyo of which 234 Michelin starred = the world's undisputed restaurant capital
17,000 sommeliers in Japan (by far the most per capita in the world)
104 litres per capita wine consumption in France in 1975
ONLY 3.1 litres per capita wine consumption in Japan in 2018.
Nobody quite knows when wine was first invented but there is archaeological evidence of wine production in Georgia as long ago 7,000 years. So wine has always been mankind's friend and source of great pleasure. Let's celebrate that symbiosis.
Wine is our passion and we are on a mission to make wine drinking in Japan a fun, enlightening and good value experience. We would love to see that drinking number increase.
We started in 2013 with our first wine bar, Parabola, a unique wine meets art rooftop hideaway in the heart of Nishi Azabu, which quickly developed a reputation as one of Tokyo's finest.
We are now focussed on our SOS Wine retail business, logistics including storage, events and catering.
The SOS wine list features a range of our value wine picks from all over the world. Please refer to our wine page.
If you are looking for good value wine storage in Tokyo please refer to our wine page.
Please also contact us for your events and catering - we can either come to you or you can come to us.
Meanwhile stay tuned in to the Devil mother ship for pop-up events, import to order, wine storage and more.
